Oprah running for President?: Important clues... (or, oh come on, II)

So one of the weirder things I've heard people say is that they believe/want Oprah to run for President. Nutty friends, here's a clue: Her production company is threatening to sue a website trying to promote her candidacy.

That may be true, but she would certainly get alot of votes if she did run. She has accomplished a great deal and even run a marathon! Why not run for President?

I don't understand the part of the demand letter that insists that the Oprah-for-president site change its domain name to one not including "Oprah" in it; it doesn't seem like the site is in such a domain to begin with.

Why not Oprah? Presidential politics is usually about "feel:" how likeable a candidate is. Oprah's feel is proven; people tune her in. Besides, she's got credibility, leadership ability, and I don't think she is going to let anybody kick her around. The more I think about the idea, the more it makes sense.

I think it is a wonderful idea for her to run for presedent. She is a great woman and think she should win. I sont see the problem why she shouldn't. I think they should not sue the guy who is trying to support her. GOOD LUCK OPRAH!

in regards to the law suit, oprah was on larry king and want to make it explicitly clear that she had nothing to do with that law suit, and her lawyers did this without her knowledge. i'd say she is probably going to recall the letter that was sent to her supporters. hey, and if she runs for president, shes got my vote!
