Via Lawrence Lessig's blog I discovered the invention of WP-CC, a plugin for Wordpress that lets you easily manage your Creative Commons license. I have previously discussed the inclusion of such a license in this space. You can see the license at th... [Read More]

It's interesting how often people who do a reasonably heady level of programming are in some other than computer science field. I remember when 20 years ago I met a guy who was building sophisticated-for-the-time statistics applications and had given up practicing clinical psychology to do so! Never had taken a computer course but used them a lot in research and just had to tweak what was available which led to immersion.
Wouldn't it be funny if Bro. Lessig gave up law and started programming in Lisp/Python?
Love.
A link to the plugin's post or the plugin itself would ensure that the plugin stays easily findable after Firas makes a couple more posts.
Not to toot my own horn, but I have a CC plugin for b2evolution (which is a fantastic piece of blogging software).
This plugin currently allows the a license for each post and has multiple display options. It also links to the license of same language version oas the post. With any luck, more functionality will come!
It is available (with instructions and discussion) here.
Enjoy!
Looks good, Daniel. I'll have to catch up with that multilanguage thing :)
