I tried many things on my head including egg and oils. but, after sometime they grow up and. Finally, I bought a book named as “lice treatment” and it works for me.

According to me if you want to get rid of head lices you have to get bald or use few methods from this book. :)

exceptionally tall or exceptionally near-sighted. if you bend down a bit, poptones, you might see that the world is not only nails. these are incredibly complex and nuanced issues. no one has a monopoly on the answers.

you have made some very insightful comments. we think you have something to contribute, but we can assure you that lecturing this community is not the way to do it. these threads are not battles. there is no winning or loosing. the only thing to be gained – or lost – is enlightenment.

please do not let our comments put YOU off. we too have been guilty of the occasional snarky comment and even professor lessig lets loose with an acid remark now and then, everyone makes mistakes.

as we have said many times, laws and code are no guarantee of – or replacement for – responsible personal behaviour.

there is a pervasive groupthink here, but the debate is generally free. intelligent, constructive comments (and even some of the not so intelligent ones we have made) are unfailingly well-received.

all we are saying is that if you make the effort to give the views of this community some respect – even if certain individuals may not deserve it – you will be richly rewarded.

as for the problems posting, it happens to us too. there are some technical problems that we think have to do with the number of posts one can make in any single thread. spam bots have been a problem and we suspect this might have something to do with the spam filters.

calm down, keep an open mind, and enjoy hanging out here. there are too few dissenters and we mice would enjoy the company.

Yes, I am a loudmouth southerner. And I see only a world full of nails – especially when stands exceptionally tall,

BTW it isn’t exactly so “free” around here. I tried to respond to our Harry Potter friend and the reply I constructed tells me I canot post that message here because the content is somehow “inappropriate” and I should correct the error – but it indicates no error and there is not one word of profanity in the entire message.

So much for that “free culture” stuff.

describing the views of your opponents as “primitive nonsense” is, for example, supremely unhelpful. we have generally felt sympathy for your point of view, but we have also spent enough time here to know that these issues are NOT black and white. trolling is sometimes a useful rhetorical tool to generate discussion, but it would be a mistake for you or us or for anyone else to believe you know all the answers.

this is an intelligent, considerate, thoughtful, and above all POLITE community. we think it is unique in a blogosphere filled with echo chambers, groupthink, and shouting matches. your ideas and comments are welcome, but as we said in another post, your angry missives and overbearing attitude are not. you are not prevented from using profanity to get your point across, but it is not at all appreciated.

By: poptones http://www.lessig.org/2005/07/au-revoir/#comment-19024 Sun, 31 Jul 2005 20:52:40 +0000 http://lessig.org/blog/2005/07/au_revoir.html#comment-19024 I hope you all haven’t felt too put upon by my “enthusiasm” regarding some of your posts. In parting I would like to offer this: if your goal really is to drive us toward a more free and open culture, don’t neglect the role of patents. There is far too little focus at present on the “cc patent” process and articles like this one well make the point that the “Free culture” community might do well to focus on listing everything no matter how hairbrained it seems – before such simple ideas become “owned” by a corporation. Perhaps a “patent drive?” Figure out a way to motivate the generation of, say, 1000 new filings before the end of the year. Give the EFF some ammunition to lob back at the corporations in the patent war!

Of course, I also hope my “entusiastic cooments” might have given you some new insight to consider regarding DRM. Don’t let the primitive nonsense we have now prejudice your view of an open future. Trust is a good thing for a society, and if we take an active role now DRM will afford a greater level of trust (and privacy) for ALL of us in our electronic interactions.
